Dr. Kaler enjoyed her years helping inner city teens at the Columbia Hospital for Women and Teen Center. She founded a non-profit organization “The Greatest Sacrifice” to raise money for grief counseling for children who have lost a parent.

Personal Interests

Just as Dr. Kaler recommends for her patients, she attempts to maintain a well-rounded life. Family time is important to her, including her two dogs. She has an appreciation of art and enjoys painting both with watercolors and acrylics. Several of her paintings can be seen in her office. Another passion of Dr. Kaler’s is cooking (particularly baking) for her friends and family. And when there is time, Dr. Kaler loves to travel!

Biography

Dr. Lori Kaler is an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist practicing in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Kaler graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago before moving to the Washington, DC area where she has been in a private practice since 1992.

Dr. Kaler is currently affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital. Previously she was affiliated with Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington DC.

She provided both inpatient care for her private patients at Columbia Hospital and worked at the Teen Health Clinic on Capitol Hill. She has also worked as a consulting OB/GYN for Gallaudet University.

Dr. Kaler is well known in the medical community for her compassionate bedside manner and dedication to her patients. She enjoys getting to know her patients individually and spends the necessary time with each patient to provide well-rounded health care. She enjoys all aspects of women’s healthcare, caring for all ages of women from teens to elderly.
